Also known as the Green Island, São Miguel is a true pearl in the middle of the ocean.
Belonging to the archipelago of the Azores, located in the Atlantic Ocean, in-between Europe and America, at 760 maritime miles from Lisbon, it is the biggest and the most populous island of the nine Azorean islands. São Miguel has in its 759,41 km2 un incomparable beauty, offering admirable landscapes and the contact with the best that Nature has to offer.The countless natural attractions, touristic and nature related are spread throughout the island, in its five municipalities.
